We Finally Did It!
Josh, Alex, Mazie, and Kuzko traveled to Sedona, Arizona, where Alex and Josh were married in a simple, intimate ceremony. Their best friend Tam officiated the wedding, and their good friend Mercy joined them as a witness.
From the beginning, they wanted the day to feel easy, meaningful, and entirely their own, without expectations, without asking others to rearrange their lives around a date, and without turning the celebration into something bigger than what felt right for them.
The decision came together quickly. About eight weeks earlier, they decided they were ready to make it official. Four weeks before the wedding, they asked Mom if they could hold the ceremony at her home, and from there, they simply made it happen.
While they chose not to have other family members present in person, every one of them was there in spirit. Thoughtful pieces of the ceremony were included to honor the people they love and to make sure those who weren’t physically there were still part of the day.
In the end, it was exactly what they wanted: simple, personal, intimate, and full of meaning.
